BGS Staff would like to extend it's congratulations to Alex Larson of Huntsville Alabama for recently being named to the NORPAC junior league  goalie of the year and NORPAC ALL Star goalie. Congrats Alex.

The Staff at BGS is proud to announce that Jeff Teglia of the Omaha Lancers in the USHL has been named to the USHL All Star game. Along with his All star selection Jeff continues to lead the league with 4 USHL player of the week awards.  

Briere's Goalie School is proud to announce the locations of it's 2009-10 Holiday Camps. The first camp taking place at the Northland Arena in Cincinnati OH December 28,29,30 2009.
The second Camp taking place in Winnipeg Manitoab Canada January 2,3rd 2010.
Both camps have many new and exciting features to present the kids. Features such as BGS tv Online video Instruction as well as The Complete Game DVD series Volume 1

The L.A. Kings have drafted BGS Staff member Nic Dowd in the 7th round 198th overall at the 2009 Entry Draft. This marks a great moment in BGS schools history as our first NHL draft pick. We at BGS are very proud of nic and wish him all the success in the world. This is the second time the NHL has come knocking on the BGS door for a staff member as the Dallas Stars signed Matt Climie to a contract in 08. Matt went on to make his NHL debut this spring in the last 3 games of the regular season.

 BGS staff member Matt Climie made his NHL debut earlier this week with the Dallas Stars in a 5-4 OT win. Matt followed his debut with his second start vs. the Wild in a 3-1 loss.  Briere's Goalie School would like to congratulate Matt on his success and wish him the best for the remainder of the season. We are very proud to have Matt on our coaching staff and look forward to bringing  his experience to the goalies at our camps.
 
 
 

 
When Briere's Goalie School was first built the Briere's Training Facility it had one goal in mind, to help goalies and players of all ages get excited about hockey and have fun while improving their skills. We recently got a great email that helps us to believe we have reached our GOAL!

BGS is proud to update our students and parents that Kirt Hill and Nic Dowd are enjoying great seasons with their respected junior teams.
 Kirt Hill who is from Winnipeg Manitoba and has been an instructor for Briere's goal Scoring and Power Skating for the past 5 years now, is playing for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL. Kirt leads the Stars with 29 points in 20 games.

I had the great pleasure of spending the evening with Mitch Korn of the Nashville Predators as they took on Columbus Blue Jackets. What a great evening having the chance to ask questions and take notes from one of the most repected goalie coaches in the business. Mitch Korn is perhaps most noted for coaching Dominik Hasek of the Buffalo Sabres as well as writing for Goalies World magazine. In a hockey world where coaches are changed almost on a yearly basis, Mitch has been able to stick with the same team for 11 years. That is no small feat. His attention to detail is unmatched.

Every hockey player dreams of having their own rink, and every parent dreams that their young future star can be given the the individual coaching and attention that they deserve, with out breaking the bank! After many requests, Briere's Goalie School can make those dreams come true!
