Steve Briere spends the weekend learning from the legend of goalie coaching

I had the great pleasure of spending the evening with Mitch Korn of the Nashville Predators as they took on Columbus Blue Jackets. What a great evening having the chance to ask questions and take notes from one of the most repected goalie coaches in the business. Mitch Korn is perhaps most noted for coaching Dominik Hasek of the Buffalo Sabres as well as writing for Goalies World magazine. In a hockey world where coaches are changed almost on a yearly basis, Mitch has been able to stick with the same team for 11 years. That is no small feat. His attention to detail is unmatched. And from what I have seen so far, this is a credit to his love for the position. The simple fact of Mitch letting me tag along and learn was a great feeling. I am already looking forward to our next meeting!
